My Creative Business page could also be called commercial photography for creative souls because that’s what it is,  it’s for anyone that creates out there in the world of enterprise.

You could already be a sole trader or just starting out with a new venture. Maybe you run your own cottage industry where you’ve been diligently working away, making a name for yourself and now your ready to take it to the next level. You need some professional photographs but you need something more than your standard headshot. You need photographs that tell the story about you, your business and all the unique things you do. I can help you with that.

I need to make a little confession here; I do not like having my photograph taken at all! That said, on this very website you can see a picture of me. People like to see who you are, who the person is that they’re buying a service from. At the very least every business should have an ‘about’ photograph. Professional photographs say “I’m serious about this” which generally translates to “If I can take myself/my work seriously then you as a prospective client, can take me seriously too”

Below you’ll find a couple of examples of previous commissions.

Prices start at £250

  • 3 hours of photography
  • A range of images for use on your website and social media platforms
  • An animated film of your images for use on your website and social media platforms – see the example below
  • Travel within 20 miles of NG9
  • Both high and low resolution images
  • Rights of use for your own business purposes

I can’t wait to hear all about you and what you do.

Vicky Price is a printmaking specialist, producing contemporary screen prints, etchings and installations from her Nottingham studio.  Vicky had commissioned a new website and needed some photographs of her at work in her studio, and of her artwork. The brief was very much about capturing the process as Vicky created her artwork but also to reflect the light, clean and crisp aesthetic of the new site. She had this to say about her work.

“Mostly, each of my projects begins life outdoors with a pencil, sketchbook and camera. I have a visual and scientific interest in botanical and natural elements, with an experimental approach to creating and circumventing digital processes, embedding each print with sketches and drawings, screen-print techniques, etching and paper engineering”.

In the coming months Vicky will be opening up her studio at Old Knows Factory, St. Ann’s, Nottingham for teaching and weekend screen printing workshops.

Zoe Hughes is a freelance copywriter and founder of Words by Zoe. Zoe required some creative business portraits of her that she could use across her business. Zoe’s brand is approachable, contemporary and fun so the photographs needed to reflect this.

Zoe say’s: I love writing interesting copy of all kinds, but I chose to specialise in online copywriting because I’m a bit of a nerd… I enjoy finding out about and implementing SEO (search engine optimisation). I also like creating WordPress websites.

One of the reasons I like copywriting is just how diverse it is. It’s about the psychology of the reader and the kind of the language they need to see in order to trust enough to buy from you. Appealing to the motives and objectives of your ideal customer and persuading them to buy from you, is essentially what I do. And I love it!
